Create an advanced anti-ageing routine in two simple steps with this exfoliating duo. Formulated with glycolic acid (AHA), both exfoliants work to gently remove built-up layers of dead skin, revealing a brighter, younger-looking complexion. After a few weeks, your skin will feel softer and smoother, with a visible reduction in the appearance of brown spots, fine lines and wrinkles.
Hydrating exfoliant corrects uneven skin tone and minimises fine lines and wrinkles.
This powerful exfoliant reveals more radiant, younger-looking skin after one use.
When using an AHA exfoliant for the first time, introduce it into your routine slowly. Start by using your exfoliant once every other day, and then increase usage to once or twice daily based on your skin’s response.
Apply the Resist Daily Smoothing Treatment with 5% AHA or Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA after cleansing and toning. Follow with a serum and finish with a day or night moisturiser. Both can be used interchangeably.
Resist Daily Smoothing Treatment with 5% AHA can be used once or twice a day while Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA is advised to be used weekly or as desired.
Dispense 2 or 3 drops and apply to the face and neck, avoid the lower lash line and eyelids. Do not rinse. For daytime, always follow with a moisturiser containing a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater.
It is best to gradually build up use of an AHA product. Start by using your exfoliant once every other day and then increase usage to once or twice daily based on your skin’s response. You need to experiment a bit to see what suits your skin best. During the day, always use a moisturiser with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater. Your skin will in fact be slightly more sensitive to sunlight when using an exfoliant, so the chance of sunburn and sun damage is slightly higher.
We do not recommend using other exfoliants, including BHA exfoliants, with an AHA exfoliant at the same time. This increases the chance of skin irritation. You can use BHA products in the morning or evening when you do not use the Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA or Resist Anti-Aging Daily Smoothing Treatment 5% AHA.
Some may experience a tingling sensation after applying the Resist Anti-Aging Daily Smoothing Treatment 5% AHA or Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA. This is completely normal and should subside quickly and stop after continuous use. If the tingling sensation does not stop or gets worse, immediately rinse the exfoliant with water and gently pat dry. If this happens, we advise against further use. Our customer care team is happy to help you find an alternative option.
Yes, but keep in mind that vitamin A can increase the sensitivity of the skin to the Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA. We recommend using with caution and using the Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA only once a week. Use the Resist Advanced Smoothing Treatment 10% AHA before your vitamin A product and rinse after ten minutes or wait until it is absorbed before using the vitamin A product.
We always recommend following the advice provided by your doctor or nurse after any procedure. If nothing is mentioned about when you can resume using an AHA exfoliant, contact the doctor's office or the salon where the treatment took place. Otherwise, our general advice is to wait until the skin has returned to its normal texture and color. Depending on the laser and/or peeling treatment, this can vary from a few days to a few weeks. Both peels and laser procedures can temporarily make the skin extra sensitive, so in case of doubt, it is best to wait a bit. When you start using AHA exfoliants again, pay close attention to how the skin reacts and adjust the frequency of use accordingly. Discontinue use in the event of irritation.
